What's buzz-worthy: The next wave of new NBA cardboard for a new crop of prospects arrives not long before the NBA Draft in October with a familiar format an autograph in every hobby pack.

The Basics: This sixth release of college Contenders will include six parallels, six variation parallels and 30 base-card variations per box along with the base and ink. There will be on-card autos for the Prospect Tickets and some of the other sets which follow the familiar approach of the past. There also will be International Prospect Tickets, Legacy Tickets and Draft Tickets in the mix all with parallels (not yet detailed) as well as three variations per player. The Prospect Ticket base set will be just 50 cards while the insert lineup includes Campus Legends, School Colors and the rare Campus ID cards. ... These carry a suggested retail price of $130 per box.
