What's buzz-worthy: Champions League once again gets the Finest treatment via a mini-box format that includes an autograph each time and plenty of colorful parallels and other highlights that include a design throwback to 1997.

The Basics: The base set will be 100 cards this time and that will be topped by 10 short-printed "extended base cards." Refractors will be found two per mini box (one in three packs) just like last year and there will be Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors like last year. The short-prints also will have parallels with new Aqua (/75), Gold, Red and Supers at the same volumes. ... Insert sets will include Prized Footballers (two per mini box) with Gold, Red and Supers (same volumes as base parallels) as well as Finest Footwork (one per mini) and 1997 Topps Finest Masters found one in four display boxes. Both of these will have Gold, Red and Supers at same volumes. ... Standard Finest autos will include some on-card autos and some stickers with parallels that include Blue (/150), Neon Green (/99), Green Wave (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors just like last year. ... There also will be insert autos -- Finest Footwork, Finest Masters, Prized Footballers, Finest Phenoms and extended base set autos -- that will all have varying numbering based on the players with their only parallels being Superfractors.
