What's buzz-worthy: Donruss' familiar formula hits the gridiron once again with plenty of Rookie Cards, inserts and more in every box.

The Basics: Hobby boxes once again will include 12 Rookie Cards, six Rated Rookies and 12 parallels. ... The base set will include 350 cards -- 250 veterans, 50 photo variations (apparently part of the base set), 50 rookies and 50 Rated Rookies. Each will be paralleled -- see the details in the gallery. New this time around will be Road to the Super Bowl, Champions and Super Bowl MVP cards, while rarer inserts will include Marvels and Night Moves. Also new this time? Donruss Optic Rated Rookie Preview Cards. ... Among the hits will be Highlights autos, Inducted autos (/99), The Champ is Here autos (/49), Retro 2000 autos, Canton Kings, Jersey Kings, Leather Kings, All-Pro Kings and more. ... Among inserts will be Inducted and The Champ is Here. ... Packs will carry an increased suggested retail price of $4.44 ($79.92 per box). Note: Rated Rookies shown here are just mocks using last year's rookies.

Hi, I hope all is well with you. I pulled 2 awesome rcs of Joe Burrows and Justin Herbert out of retail Donruss. The rookies are both press proofs bronze and say canvas on the side. The difference between the two is the writing on canvas. Herberts is bronze while the Burrows is written in black lettering. Did I come across a very rare shortprints . Thank you ?

  They are the canvass parallels. I'm not sure if they are super-rare this year but you can check eBay to see how pricey -- should also indicate to degree how rare they might be.
