What's buzz-worthy: Optic arrives for its slicker take on Donruss with no signs of emojis (at least so far) this time, but with plenty of colors, plenty of ink and even Hot Boxes in the mix.

The Basics: Boxes of this one will include 10 Prizms and 20 inserts atop the hits and base. Every case will have two autograph Hot Boxes that will include five sigs, while there also will be two Prizm Hot Boxes that include 20 numbered parallels inside. ... The latest insert sets this time around will be Stars & Stripes and Fort Knox cards. ... For autographs, collectors will find on-card autos in the Highlights set -- Aaron Judge and Juan Soto among signers there -- while there also will be on-card ink for rookies and prospects. Among those signers? Bo Bichette Gavin Lux and Yordan Alvarez for starters. The Rated Rookie lineup will include 61 players while there also will be Rated Prospect autos for 20 players. ... Some of the basic inclusions here from the 200-card set will be Rated Rookies, Diamond Kings, All-Stars and Retro 1986 cards as Donruss had. Inserts will include a 10-card set of The Rookies. ... Among the teased colors across the board here are Holo, Pink Velocity, Carolina Blue, Gold, Black, as well as Red, White & Blue (all on one card) but there will be others. ... Packs will carry a suggested retail price of $5 ($100 per box).

Update: There also will be Optic Choice boxes made for this one with three autographs, two Silver Prizms and five Prizms that are exclusive to these one-pack boxes. There will be 20 boxes per case there. Among the parallels only found here will be Red/Green Dragon, Liberty and Freedom Prizms. Also exclusive to these boxes will be Red Mojo Highlights Signatures, White Mojo signatures and Green Mojo Rated Prospects signatures.
