First Buzz: 2020 Panini Chronicles NASCAR trading cards

What's buzz-worthy: Panini revs up the possibilities in the ol' collecting engine presenting a number of brands new to NASCAR all in one place with stars from the past and present and plenty of potential in every pack -- "the biggest autograph and memorabilia product variety in our NASCAR product lineup ever," according to Panini.

The Basics: Every hobby box will include four hits (not one per pack) along with 12 Optichrome cards, 12 Holographic cards, 18 C2S cards and a pair of Spectra cards, which will be in the packs where there's no hit. Among the brands new to NASCAR here are Spectra, Phoenix, Ascension, Cornerstones and Crusade -- and eight other brands will be in the mix. There will be hits for Chronicles, Cornerstones, Phoenix, Score and more with 12 autographed sets including on-card ink here. Memorabilia cards will include Reserve Materials with gloves, firesuits, tires and sheet metal possible. There also will be parallels limited to no more than 49 copies. A little more advanced hit will be Prime Jumbo cards -- a 30-card set -- with 22 parallels limited to no more than two copies apiece. ... Packs will carry a suggested retail price of $20.
