What's buzz-worthy: Encased arrives in the NFL for the fifth time with the same format as last year but "with all the best rookies and legends the NFL has to offer," according to Panini.

The Basics: The base set will include 100 cards once again with a relatively small rainbow of parallels (see gallery) and just one of the cards (base or parallel) per box. ... Among the hits here are Superscribe Signatures, Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Notable Signatures, Gamers jumbo jerseys and Hall of Fame Signatures. Joining them will be rookie cap patch autos, substantial rookie swatches and quad-mem rookies all with plenty of parallels. ... Among the sets that will have slabbed cards will include but are not limited to Reserve Signatures, Superscribe Signatures, Legendary Signatures, Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures, HOF Material Signatures. ... Each box will carry an increased suggested retail price of $250.

Update (Feb. 25): The FOTL boxes for this one will include Ruby parallels on pretty much everything with one slabbed rookie Ruby auto (/15 max) per box as well as one Ruby base parallel (/15). There will be one other auto and two memorabilia cards in each FOTL box with eight boxes per case.
