What's buzz-worthy: Obsidian's NFL version arrives via hobby channels soon with a full array of inclusions for rookies, veterans and some case-level chase cards, too.

The Basics: There will be one base card and two inserts or parallels per box along with the hits. Found one per case will be Black Color Blast cards as well as Contra cards. ... The base set will consist of 100 cards with plenty of parallels (see gallery) with past and present stars included. Atop that, there will be 100 Rookie Cards that will also have autographed parallel versions in the mix. Among the hits will be rookie jersey autos, rookie jersey ink cards (multiple swatches), Matrix Material autos, Lightning Strike, Aurora autos, Volcanic Materials, Rookie Eruption and Galaxy Gear. ... Among the rarer inserts will be diecut Supernova cards as well as Tunnel Vision, Supernova and Vitreous as well as the previously mentioned Color Blast and Contra cards. ... Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $165.
