First Buzz: 2020 Panini XR football cards

What's buzz-worthy: XR hits the gridiron with a familiar look, three hits per box and even a 1/1 patch autograph in every 15-box case.

The Basics: Every two-pack box will include one rookie jersey auto and one other rookie, veteran or retired-payer auto along with one memorabilia card, one insert, four parallels and four base cards. The base set will include 100 cards with a number of parallels (see gallery) on "sleek, dull holographic card stock." Each rookie swatch auto will have 17 1/1 parallels -- NFL Shields, Nike patches, team logos, draft hats, shoes, gloves and footballs among them -- as well as a rainbow of standard parallels with the top guys and their ink on every card. The rookies will be found on 100 more base cards with parallels, too. ... Among the other hits will be rookie triple swatch autos, X-Ponential Ink, NFL Shields, Vortex Materials, Summit Swatches, Luminous Endorsements and X-Ray Swatches

... Packs carry an suggested retail price of $50 apiece ($100 per box).
