What's buzz-worthy: Topps Archives is back with looks back at the 1950s, 1970s and 2000s as part of the base set while also spotlighting favorites from the past and present with past card designs.

The Basics: The 300-card base set will showcase the 1955, 1974 and 2002 Topps designs each with 100 cards and they will have at least Purple (/175), Silver (/99), Red (/75), Blue (/25, hobby-only) and 1/1 Gold foil parallels. The 1955 cards also will have mini versions. ... Found one per box will be Topps Nickname Poster Cards (also with autographed versions) while other inserts include 1990 Topps Rookies and 1989 Topps Corn Field variations for the scheduled game in Iowa between the Yankees and White Sox. Those will have Black (/99), Pinstripe (/25) and 1/1 Gold foil parallels. Joining them will be 1960 Combo cards, 1960 All-Star Rookies and a 1976 Topps Traded set that will spotlight past trades. The 1960 sets will have Black (/250), Silver (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Gold parallels. ... The Fan Favorites autos will be the main focus for ink with on-card autos on past designs. They will have Purple (/150), Silver (/99), Blue (/25, hobby-only) and 1/1 Gold parallels just like last year. Joining them will be Premium autos (/50) as well as 1955 Minis (/20), buybacks (/10) and 1960 Rookie All-Star as well as 1960 Combo dual autos. The rookies will have Silver (/99), Blue (/25) and 1/1 Gold versions, while duals will only have Blue and Gold parallels. Rounding things out will be 1976 Traded autos with Red (/99), Gold (/50) and 1/1 Black parallels -- meanwhile there will be Corn Field autos with Pinstripe (/27), Black (/3) and 1/1 Gold versions. The 1990 Topps Rookie autos will have Blue (/25), Red (/10) and 1/1 Gold.
