What's buzz-worthy: MLS cardboard takes the pitch once again with three hits per box and plenty more to collect with a meaty set that includes another batch of young players as well as established stars.

The Basics: The base set will be 200 cards with the last 25 being Pitch Prodigies (rookies). The first 175 cards, which also will include a new 22 Under 22 subset, will have these parallels -- Blue (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/10) and 1/1 Black parallels. Meanwhile, the last 25 will have just Orange, Red and Black parallels at the same volumes. There will also be image variations in play with those only having a 1/1 Black parallel. Among the inserts are MLS Superstars, All-Stars (six per box), Throwback Topps (four per box) and MLS Duos (four per box). Each will have Orange, Red and Black parallels. The All-Stars will use the 1990 Topps MLB design in a new way and the throwback set will use the 1985 baseball design. ... The hits will include MLS Relics with Gold, Orange and Black parallels (same volume) while Nameplate Patches will be 1/1 cards with a 1/1 Crest Patch parallel also in the mix. The autographs will parallel the base set for selected players.
