What's buzz-worthy: Topps teams up with a retro sports influencer to create a set with some throwback flair, a celebration of follicular peculiarities of an era and mash up some memorable designs to make something new all in one retro-styled package.

The Basics: Topps' newest "x" set -- one where they let an outsider call the shots and it's "by" them -- is here with the @Super70sSports crew going oldschool with a release that includes two insert cards and 18 base cards per box with autographed one in three boxes. The insert sets should give you an idea of what's up here -- Happening Hairdos, Magnificent Moustaches, Ultimate Uniforms, Spectacular Spectacles, Memorable Managers -- and you can see the checklist up top to see who's in its 90-card set and who has ink to come here, too. It's a mix of past and present greats and fan favorites. Among the possible autos? Johnny Bench, Rickey Henderson, Reggie Jackson, J.R. Richard, Dave Parker, Mike Schmidt, Carlton Fisk and Carl Yastrzemski for starters. Some of the insert sets also have ink, too, with Nolan Ryan in the Ultimate Uniforms auto set and Jackson joined by Lou Brock and Kent Tekulve in the Spectacular Spectacles set. Moustaches autos will include Gorman Thomas, Luis Tiant, Rollie Fingers and Wade Boggs. Ricky Cobb, the creator here, also has autos to be found, too.
