What's buzz-worthy: New NBA cardboard arrives a little later than normal but with plenty that should have basketball fans taking their shots at Rookie Cards and more.

The Basics: There will be 24 insert cards per box in this one, which is the same as last year while the auto volume was halved. ... The hits here will include Hot Signatures, Hot Signatures Rookies, Rookie Ink and Hoops Ink with Red parallels (/25) of each being hobby-only finds. Among the inserts will be hobby-only Jam-tastic, High Voltage and Hipnotized cards along with Legends of the Ball, Prime Twine and Highlights cards. ... The total parallel lineup was not disclosed in advance but will include NBA 75th Anniversary cards for starters along with Silver (/199), Green (/99), Artist Proof (/25), Artist Proof Gold (/10) and 1/1 Artist Proof Black. ... Packs will carry an increased suggested retail price of $5 ($120 per box).
