What's buzz-worthy: Topps returns to the basketball ranks with a release that's teased to be a colorful stylistic throwback with a relatively meaty mix of names with ink for many of them.

The Basics: There are 60 stars on the base checklist (card Nos. 60-61 are skipped on the checklist above) with parallels in play for each of them, though additional details were not disclosed for its initial sale via 582 Montgomery Club yesterday or its public drop today. Boxes are $129.99 via Topps and include one auto, 18 packs and some parallels. ... Among the signers here? A bunch of 1980s and 1990s stars and others, including Allen Iverson, Dikembe Mutombo, Dan Majerle, Dirk Nowitzki, Dennis Rodman, Dominique Wilkins, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas, Juwon Howard, Jason Kidd, John Starks, James Worthy, Latrell Sprewell, Penny Hardaway, Shawn Kemp, Steve Nash, Shaquille O'Neal, Toni Kukoc and Vince Carter. No other info was released for this one.
