What's buzz-worthy: Optic hits the diamond once again with on-card autos from top rookies and prospects and plenty of color in an Optichromed take on 2021 Donruss with even more in the mix.

The Basics: Boxes of this one will include 10 Prizms and 20 inserts atop the hits and base just like last year. Every case will have two autograph Hot Boxes that will include five sigs, while there also will be two Prizm Hot Boxes that include 20 numbered parallels inside -- also just like last year. ... Autograph parallels were not detailed for this one, but there will be Rated Rookies, Retro Rated Rookies and Rated Prospects ink to be found. The Retro set will showcase five players from 1987, while there will be 75 Rated Rookies signing up here with Pink and Carolina Blue Velocity among the parallels. Among the teased Rated Prospects? Jasson Dominguez and Spencer Torkelson. Joining them will be Signature Series autos for 50 players. ... The base set will include 200 cards -- 100 veterans, 70 Rated Rookies and 30 Diamond Kings. There will be 17 parallels per card in hobby boxes. ... Among the inserts will be Mythical, Neon, Fort Knox, Lights Out and T-Minus 3, 2, 1. ... Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $125.

Update (May 4): There also will be Choice boxes for this release (arriving July 2) with one 10-card pack inside. They will carry a suggested retail price of $105 and pack three autographs, three Red or Green Dragon Prizms and one Freedom or Liberty Prizm card. Autographs will be found with Red Mojo, White Mojo and Green Mojo in this one, while standard parallels will also include Eagle cards as part of a six-set rainbow.
