What's buzz-worthy: Contenders' newest NFL release arrives with a new look but within the traditional ticket format and with other inclusions that collectors have come to expect from this long-running brand.

The Basics: The typical hobby box of this one will include at least five autos with one of those being on-card ink, while there also will be 19 different inserts and parallels atop the base cards just like last year. ... The base set will be 100 cards with parallels (see below) and they'll be joined by Rookie Ticket autos for top guys along with their own parallel rainbows to chase. Some will have variations. A new parallel in this one will be the Rookie Ticket RPS Reverse (what that means wasn't really defined but it's the Lawrence card above), while 2001 Rookie Ticket autos will be in the mix along with Contenders to Canton autos. Joining them among the inked inclusions will be NFL Ink, Legendary Contenders, MVP Contenders Autographs, Coaches Ticket and Sunday Ticket Signatures. ... Among the inserts will be Gladiators, Supernatural, Chain Movers, Power Players and Playoff Tickets that also will have rare autographed versions. ... These 18-pack boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $225.
