First Buzz: 2021 Panini Encased football cards

What: 2021 Panini Encased football cards

What's buzz-worthy: Encased drops for a sixth season with the same familiar format but with the new crop of top rookies and plenty of star power in a high-end release.

The Basics: The base set will include 100 cards with "all of the biggest names that the NFL has to offer" with a relatively small rainbow of parallels (see gallery) and just one of the cards (base or parallel) per box. Some will have autographed versions. ... Among the hits here are Rookie Endorsements, Superscribe Signatures, Rookie Notable Signatures, Sapphire Signatures (blue ink) and Rookie Cap Patch Autographs for starters. Joining them will be Substantial Rookie Swatches, Rookie Quad memorabilia cards and Gamers jumbo jerseys. Among the graded auto sets will be Reserve Signatures, Superscribe Signatures, Legendary Signatures, Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures and HOF Material Signatures.
