What's buzz-worthy: Mosaic hits the diamond as a standalone release this year with a simple but colorful lineup that includes plenty of parallels and plenty of cards per box as well.

The Basics: There will be 15 cards per pack in this one with each box including two Red Mosaic parallels and five Silvers along with the base cards, inserts and ink. ... Parallels were not detailed for this one but there's a 280-card base set in play here that will have Red and Purple Mosaic parallels only in hobby and FOTL boxes as well as Silver among a lineup that includes eight colors. ... Among the insert sets here will be International Men of Mastery, Field Vision, Locked In, Rookie Debut and then five short-printed insert sets that will include Stained Glass and Overdrive. ... The autograph checklist will include 100 signers between standard Mosaic Autographs and then Mosaic Rookie Autos. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $130.

Update: There also will be eight-card Mosaic Choice boxes for this one that have two autos, two rookie variations, one Silver, one Mosaic and two base cards. There will be 20 boxes per case for the format with boxes carrying a suggested retail price of $115. Choice will be the home of four exclusive parallels -- Fusion Red and Yellow, Black Gold, Nebula and Peacock -- and three parallels in the auto sets -- Fusion, Fusion Red and Yellow and Black Gold.

Update: There also will be 18-pack Quick Pitch boxes for this one with 20 boxes per case and eight cards per pack. They will have one auto per box as well as one Silver, 10 Mosaic QP Silver parallels and one rookie variation card atop the inserts and base. There will be eight parallel types to find in this box type and six will only be found here. ... Autos will include standard QP versions as well as Gold and Black parallels. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $105.
