What's buzz-worthy: Panini opens its 2021 football card season with a hit-per-pack Prizm release once again that will include likely draft picks as well as glimpses at young NFL stars and greats in their college years.

The Basics: Just like last year, boxes will include 40 cards with this year's version having 10 Prizm parallels, five more Silver Prizms and then the base cards and autographs. That breaks down to an autograph, a Silver and two other Prizm parallels in every pack. ... The base set will include 100 "of the best players to have ever played college football" and then 60 "elite" prospects. Teased parallel colors include Silver, Blue Wave and Gold. (Parallels were not fully outlined.) The base set also will include subsets as has it has in recent years -- Crusade and All-Americans. ... Colorblast cards are back -- one in 10 cases this time. ... A full array of autograph inclusions was not teased but among the colors you see here are Black Gold, Orange Pulsar and Silver Prizm cards. ... Boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $200 ($40 per pack).

Update (Feb. 24): There also will be H2 (Hobby Hybrid) boxes for this release with those having one autograph and two Silver Prizms per 12-pack box (20 boxes per car). The Colorblast cards will be one in 30 cases here. The H2 boxes will have Circles Prizms with teased colors for the base set being Red and Blue while autographs were teased with Silver Circles as well as Red and Green versions. These boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $75 ($6.25 per pack).
