What's buzz-worthy: Prizm takes the NFL field once again with some new surprises -- Manga! (above) -- as well as plenty of the color and flash that collectors expect from the brand.

The Basics: The format ultimately remains the same here with the autos and base joined by 10 serial-numbered Prizm inserts per box along with 24 Rookie Cards, five inserts and four Silver Prizm parallels per box. The base set will be a little larger -- 330 cards with 110 rookies and they will each have their own rainbow of parallels (see gallery). Snakeskin parallels, for example, will once again be one per case. ... New this year will be anime-styled Manga! inserts among a lineup that will include Illumination, ultra-rare Color Blast (one in 10 cases), Instant Impact and Stained Glass. The last four will combine to be found one per case. Also new this time will be Prizm Break and New Recruits cards. ... Among the hits will be RPAs, Franchise Legends autos and rookie autos. ... Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $325.

Update (Dec. 15): There will be No Huddle boxes for this one with an auto in every 18-pack box (20 boxes per case) along with 18 Rookie Cards, 10 No Huddle Prizms (four Silver, six numbered) and then seven No Huddle Prizm insert cards. Among the colors for NH parallels will be Blue, Red, Neon Green (/5) and Gold for starters (see the full lineup below). ... All Out! Prizms and Lockdown! Prizms only will be found in hobby and No Huddle boxes.

Update (July 20): There are also Asia boxes for this release with one six-card pack per box (20 boxes per case). They will include one Red & Yellow Prizm card -- limited to 39 copies for veterans and just eight copies per card for rookies -- along with two base cards, one rookie Prizm parallel and two standard Rookie Cards per box. Autographs will be found two per case.
