What's buzz-worthy: The women of the long-running science fiction franchise get another run on cardboard with a rather comprehensive release that even includes autographs signed by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry back in 2008.

The Basics: The base set for this one will include 72 cards focusing on the characters from throughout the Star Trek universe and there will be a number of insert sets to join them. There will be 16 Women of Star Trek Vector Art cards, 10 Starfleet’s Finest Painted Portraits metal cards (/50), 18 ‘Quotable’ Women of Star Trek Expansion cards, 24 Artists’ Rendition triple-art cards, 12 Women of Star Trek Archive Collection Expansion cards (/99) and then the hits. Among those? Every other case will have a 1/1 sketch card and also to be found beyond single and dual-auto cards will be T’Pol/Enterprise Relics. ... Albums will include a promo card as usual while case toppers will include rendered art metal cards for Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine. Six-case incentive cards will be a Legends of Star Trek auto for Nana Visitor, while a nine-case bonus will be a 1/1 sketch card and an 18-caser will be an Archive Box that includes a printing plate set and plenty more all in one box.
