First Buzz: 2021 Score football cards

What's buzz-worthy: Score arrives with a boatload of Rookie Cards in every hobby box -- 90 -- plus plenty more in a release that also has some new inclusions for the brand.

The Basics: There will be 40-card packs once again for this one with 10 parallels and 36 inserts in a typical box along with one Tom Brady TD Tribute card documenting all of his scores from his career. ... The base set will have 300 cards with each having nine parallels in hobby boxes (see gallery for breakdown) and the same will apply for Rookie Cards in this one (last year's players used in mocks below). Rookie autos will also be in play here with parallels coming as low-volume creations -- nothing over 50 copies. Veterans also will have autographs in this one, though any parallels were not detailed there. Among the inserts will be Hot Rookies (again, mocks use last year's players), All-Hands Team, Breakthrough, NFL Draft, Fantasy Stars, Celebrations, Base Dynamics and Intergalactic cards (using lenticular technology a la Sportflics). Those last two cards will be rarer finds. ... New this year will be die-cut base card parallels limited to only 10 copies and these will only be found in hobby boxes. ... Boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $120.
