First Buzz: 2021 Pieces of the Past Historical Edition

What's buzz-worthy: The Super Glow line arrives with a look at historic notables from pop culture, history and sports all in one spot.

The Basics: There will be four cards per pack with hits including embedded relic cards, autographs, cut autos or 1/1 creations here with more than 100 different subjects and more than 500 years of history on the checklist. This one will rely on mirror board stock as part of the designs with rare inserts and more also in play. Among the cut autos will be Babe Ruth, Jesse Owens, Vince Lombardi, Satchel Paige, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, Albert Einstein, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and Ronald Reagan for starters. Relics will include single, dual and triple cards with what appears to be signed documents among the pieces inside the cards. You can see some of the groupings in the gallery below -- presidents, painters, musicians, icons and even pirates. There also will be jumbo relics and 1/1 gold cracked ice versions to chase. Among the rare short-printed cards will be Colorways, diecuts and more (see gallery) while the base set will have Shiny Glow, Lava Glow (/100, Red Glow, Gold Glow and 1/1 Gold Engine Glow cards for parallels. ... The base set will showcase presidents, historic figures, musicians, innovators and more.
