What's buzz-worthy: Topps' take on T206 tobacco cards returns once again with 10 waves of cards -- double last year -- to come this time with the first now live.

The Basics: Just like last year, there will be eight base cards and two parallels per pack ($14.99 initial price or a slight discount if you buy 20 packs) via Topps' site. They'll be available for no more than the next 20 days. Among the surprises? On-card autographs -- no odds there -- as well as potential appearances by minor-league players at some point. ... The default parallel is once again the Piedmont (two per pack) unless they are replaced by blackless back (1:15; Wave 1 only) Sweet Caporal (1:3), Sovereign (1:6), Carolina Brights (1:18), Old Mill (1:30), Cycle (/25), Lenox (/10) or a 1/1 Ty Cobb back version. ... Among those on he checklist for the first wave of 50 cards? Mike Trout, Bo Bichette, Walker Buehler, Greg Maddux, Francisco Lindor, Luis Robert, Corey Seager, Alec Bohm, Max Fried, Rafael Devers, Kris Bryant, Randy Johnson, Larry Walker, Bob Gibson and Willie Stargell to name a few. The only signers for Wave 1 are Freddie Freeman, Edgar Martinez, Jim Palmer, CC Sabathia and Carlos Delgado.
