What's buzz-worthy: Formula 1 gets it second lap on the Topps Chrome track with this one, which will arrive in a couple of hobby formats with each packing a boatload of parallels.

The Basics: This one will once again include a 200-card base set comprised of F1 and F2 drivers and "team principals" this time. The set will include Future Stars, Grand Prix Winners and Formula 1 Freshest subsets. Parallels for each card will include at least 19 versions in hobby packs -- standard Refractors as well as Checkered Flag, Purple & Green, Gold & Purple, Orange & Red, Red & Green, Purple (/399), Purple Checker (/199), Gold (/50), Gold Wave (/50), Gold Checker (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Orange Checker (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5), Red Checker (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates. Some cards also will have photo variations. ... Inserts will include Path to the Podium (three per box), Redliners (three per box) and 1961 Sports Cars cards (six per box) but with today' machines showcased. Each of these inserts will have Gold, Gold Wave, Orange, Red, Superfractors and printing plates at the same volumes as mentioned before. ... Autographs will have the following Refractor parallels -- Green (/99), Gold (/50), Gold Wave (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors as well as printing plates.

LITE boxes will have exclusive RayWave parallels at least four times per. They will have Black & White, Green, Gold, Red and 1/1 Black RayWave cards and same volumes as other parallels. LITE boxes all appear to have other Refractors in the mix, too. Inserts also will be in play here but autographs were not noted.
