What's buzz-worthy: Finest hits the field once again with the familiar format, some 1990s throwbacks and plenty of Refractive flash that collectors have come to expect from this one.

The Basics: The base set will consist of 100 cards with 25 short-prints atop that with the basic cards having a number of Refractor parallels and eight new additions to the rainbow. Joining standard Refractors will be Sky Blue (/300), Purple (/250), Purple/Aqua Vapor (/250), Aqua (/199), Aqua Shimmer (/175) Blue (/150), Green Speckle (/125), Green (/99), Rose Gold (/75), Rose Gold Mini Diamond (/50), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5), Purple/Pink Vapor (/3) and 1/1 Superfractors. For the 25 SPs, there will be Gold, Red and Supers their only parallels just like previous years. Rookies will have a design variation card as well (one per display box) with Gold, Red and Supers. ... There will be three insert sets this year with 1997 Topps Finest Masters (four per display box) with Gold, Red and Supers and that same lineup will be used for Finest Legacies and Finest Career Diecut cards for Mike Trout. ... Autographs will include Finest Autos and Finest Rookies design variation autos. These sets will have Blue (/150), Green (/99), Green Wave (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Superfractor parallels just like past years. Joining them will be five other autograph sets, including Finest Moments (with Gold, Orange, Red and Super parallels), 1997 Finest Masters autos (with Orange, Red and Supers), Finest Careers (/10), Finest buyback autos (/TBD) and Finest Mystery Redemptions (/99).
