What's buzz-worthy: Minor League Baseball's first release of the new year comes with some new inclusions under some unusual circumstances -- as in there was no MiLB action last year.

The Basics: The basic set will consist of 200 cards with some new twists here -- a 50-card draft picks subset among those 200 -- and there also will once again be Chrome cards in jumbo boxes. Parallels for the base set will include Blue (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/10) and 1/1 Black. There also will be image variations for some players with those having just 1/1 Black parallels just like 2020. Jumbo boxes will include six Chrome cards per pack and the rainbow there will be Refractors (/99) as well as Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. ... The insert lineup will include some throwback power as the 1964 Topps set is the design for the MiLB Legends insert set and those will have Green (/99), Orange (/25) and 1/1 Black versions. Joining them will be The Cogeneration (pairing pitching and hitting prospects) with the same parallels and that also will be the lineup for Major Scale inserts showing players working their way up various levels. Also in play will be another Make Your Pro Debut contest -- this time with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. ... Autographs will be found for base as parallels as well as for the three insert sets and will be joined by Future Cornerstones ink. The base autos will have Blue, Green, Gold, Orange, Red and Black parallels (same numbering). Most insert autos will have varying volumes and only 1/1 Black parallels.  Future Cornerstones ink will have Gold, Orange, Red and Black. ... For Relics, there will be Fragments of The Farm with the same lineup of parallels and there will be new Mascot Relics this time with the same lineup of colors. The Relics will only be found in hobby boxes.
