What's buzz-worthy: The second half of Topps' 70th anniversary edition will arrive in June with plenty more for the hobby's flagship release than what's to come in the first series not that long from now.

The Basics: The biggest chase in this one will be the 25 tickets to the Topps 70th Anniversary celebration that's dubbed as "a unique event featuring players, exclusive items and more." That's half of the total number of tickets planned for the party set for sometime next fall. ... The base set will include 330 cards -- rookies, veterans, team cards and Future Stars are planned -- and each card will have Rainbow foil, Gold foil, Gold (/2,021), Vintage (/99), Independence Day (/76), Black (/70) Platinum Anniversary (/70), Mother's Day (/50), Father's Day (/50), Memorial Day (/25), Clear (/10 for 100 players) and 1/1 printing plates as well as a 1/1 70th Anniversary parallel just like in Series 1.

Among the inserts will be another group of 70 Years of Topps (past and present players on past designs) with autos (/10) possible for some players. Jumbo boxes will have a two-card Chrome 70 Years of Baseball pack and there will be Superfractors to chase there, too. Home run Challenge cards will also be back one per hobby or one per jumbo box, while a new inclusion will be DH Debuts cards showing players who were DH in the National League this past season. Those will have Blue, Black (/299), Platinum (/70), Red (/10) and 1/1 Gold parallels as well as autographs for some players (/10 max). A new one here will be Zero to Sixty cards that look back at last season's 60-game leaders and compare them with other notable 60-game spans to put the 2020 into perspective. Also among the inserts will be Significant Statistics and Platinum Players Die Cuts. Each of these will have the same rainbow of parallels as mentioned for the DH set but with the Statistics set not having autos. Also in the mix will be 1986 Topps cards with Blue, Black, Platinum Red and Gold versions along with 1986 Topps All-Stars cards, too. Back in packs will be sketch cards as well as shaped sketch cards -- just 70 total shaped cards will be made. ... Manufactured Relics will include Commemorative World Series Rings (/199) and 2021 Rookie Card Patches. They will each have Platinum (/70), Red (/10) and 11/ Gold versions as well as autographs (/10) for some players.

For autographed Relics, there will be Reverence autographed patches (/10) with Red (/5) and 1/1 Platinum parallels and those same parallel colors will be found for Major League Material auto Relics (/50 max), and Significant Statistics auto Relics (/50 max). Standard autos will include 70 Years of Baseball autos with past and present players found with Black (/199), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum parallels. Joining those will be 70th Duals (/5), 1986 Topps autos with on-card sigs and Black, Gold, Red and Platinum parallels as well as the same for a 1986 All-Star set. Significant Statistics Autos (/50) will be found with Red and Platinum versions the only parallels, while some 1/1 cut autos also will be in play.

Standard Relics will include Major League Materials with Black, Gold, Red and Platinum parallels as well as 1986 Relics and 1986 All-Star Relics with the same rundown and volumes. Significant Statistics Relics (/99) will only have Red and Platinum versions. Last but not least will be a selection of 1/1 In The Name letter Relics. ... Silver packs also will return with one silver pack per hobby box and two per jumbo box.
