First Buzz: 2022-23 Donruss basketball cards

What's buzz-worthy: Donruss hits the court with the same 30-card pack format as previous years but with only one hit per box guaranteed this time around -- just ink -- but also with a boatload of inserts and parallels in every box.

The Basics: Boxes will include a total of 60 inserts and parallel cards just like previous years atop the base and the hit. The base set size was not announced and the parallel lineup was not detailed in full, either, but there will be Holo Red and Holo Gold Laser parallels for starters. Others will include Basketball (/75), Holo Blue Laser (/49), Holo Gold Laser (/10), and 1/1 Holo Black Lasers. ... Among the autographs in this one will be Rated Rookies Signatures (with parallels) and Next Day Autographs. ... Among the rarer case-level inserts will be Night Moves and Animation, while other inserts will include Net Marvels, Craftsmen, Unleashed, Production Line, Retro Series and Crunch Time cards. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $150.

Update (Jan. 11): There will be 10-card Choice boxes made for this release (20 boxes per case) that will include two autographs, three Choice parallels and five Choice Rated Rookies. For veterans and rookies there will be Red (/99), Blue (/49), Gold (/10), Black Gold (/8), Black (1/1) and Dragon parallels. ... Autograph parallel details were not released in full but there will be Gold and Blue versions that were among the teased Choice cards and Next Day autos also will be in play in this format.
