What's buzz-worthy: Topps' first release for the NCAA prospect ranks in pack form and with school colors and logos arrives with this one -- a Chrome take on Bowman University, which arrived last year without the full licensing.

The Basics: The base set of this one will include 100 top stars on Chrome stock and they'll all have at least 21 parallels with some also having image variations. The parallels include standard Refractors four per box, Shimmers one per box and then Purple (/399), Purple Mini Diamond (/399), Aqua (/299), Aqua Wave (/299), Blue (/199), Blue RayWave (/199), Fuchsia Mini-Diamond (/150), Lava (/100), Green (/99), Green Shimmer (/99), Yellow (/75), Gold (/50), Gold Shimmer (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Shimmer (/25), Red Shimmer (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Black Shimmer cards as well as Superfractors. ... There will be four insert sets to chase here -- 1952 Bowman (four per box), Ramblin' Man (three per box), Bowman Invicta (two per box; hobby only) and then The Big Kahuna (Chromed cards one per case). The first two will have Aqua Foil (/150), Orange Foil (/25) and 1/1 Foilfractor parallels, while Invicta will have Lava instead of Aqua with the other parallels. Kahuna parallels will only be Orange and Supers just like the first series. ... For Chrome autographs -- all 100 players have ink -- there will be Refractors (/499), Lava (/199), Green (/99), Yellow (/75), Gold (/50), Gold Lava (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Shimmer (/25), Red (/5), Red Shimmer (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. ... The Invicta autos (/99) will have Orange (/25) and 1/1 Supers and the same will be in play for Prime Chrome autos (/50). The same parallels also will be in play for Ramblin' Man ink (/99) and 1952 Bowman (/99) autos. The Big Kahuna cards also will have ink (/TBD basic) with those parallels as well.
