What's buzz-worthy: Donruss arrives on the track with the formula that racing fans should recognize well -- a multi-hit box with a ton of Optic cards and inserts all in one bargain-priced spot.

The Basics: Each hobby box will include 24 Optic cards as well as 24 Silver parallel or serial-numbered cards atop the base cards and hits. ... Among the hits will be Timeless Treasures Materials Signatures for five stars, Legendary Signatures and Retro 1981 Relics for starters. ... The base set will include 200 cards with subsets that will include the typical Rated Rookies, car cards, Retro cards (1981 this year) and Race Kings. Parallels were not detailed in advance for any sets but there will be Top Five and Silvers among the base versions. ... Inserts will include Optic versions of the base set and seven other sets. Among those will be new Under The Lights cards, while the "ultra-rare" inserts in this one will include Blank Slate, Watercolors, Marvels and Downtown. ... Packs will once again carry a suggested retail price of $2.99.
