What's buzz-worthy: Encased drops for a seventh time with the same familiar format but with some new touches, plenty of color and plenty of on-card autographs from rookies and stars of the past and present.

The Basics: The base set will include 100 cards that once again includes "all of the biggest names that the NFL has to offer" with a relatively small rainbow of parallels (see gallery) and just one of the cards (base or parallel) per box. Some will have autographed versions. ... Among the hits here are Rookie Endorsements, Superscribe Signatures, Rookie Notable Signatures, Sapphire Signatures (blue ink) and Rookie Cap Patch Autographs, Milestone Marks and Century Signatures for starters. Joining them will be Substantial Rookie Swatches, Gamers jumbos, Rookie Quad memorabilia cards and, Encore Collection and Choice Materials jumbo jerseys. ... On-card ink will be found in the Superscribe, Legendary, Rookie Endorsements, Rookie Dual Swatch, Scripted Signatures, Vaulted Veteran Material Signatures autograph sets. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $250.
