What's buzz-worthy: The sixth version of Illusions for the NFL adds some new looks to the familiar approach while also offering some new micro-etched cards into the lineup as well as some longer-odds chase cards with unique flair.

The Basics: Boxes will include 10 acetate or micro-etched inserts or parallels as well as five numbered Trophy Collection parallels along with the base cards and hits. ... The base set once again will include 100 cards with the past and present all in the mix with an array of parallels (see gallery). ... Some "super short-printed" finds here will be Trophy Collection Wild Card, Division, Conference and Super Bowl inserts, while one of the new acetate card sets will be Funkadelic. Another colorful newbie will be Operation Detonation while it will be Déjà Vu all over again with that set also in the mix. ... Among the hits will be short-printed ink variations in Rookie Endorsements as well as Limelight cards. Joining them will be First Impressions auto-mem cards and Rookie Reflection dual patch autos. ... Packed out on the case level will be HoloHeroes cards. ... Also among the acetate inserts will be King of Cards, Mystique and Illusionists and there will be autographed parallels in play for these and others made on that stock. ... Among other micro-etched sets will be Amazing, Shining Stars and Rookie Vision Signatures. ... These carry a suggested retail price of $22.50 per pack ($225 per box).
