First Buzz: 2022 Panini Origins football cards (updated)

What's buzz-worthy: Origins' seventh season on the gridiron arrives soon with plenty that collectors have come to expect from this one.

The Basics: Each box will include one jumbo rookie jersey autograph, one other autograph, one memorabilia card, two base cards (veterans, rookies 0r rookie variations) and two parallels (see gallery for rundown) from a 100-card base set. ... Among the hits will be rookie autos (mocks here show last year's players) along with Passing Stars, Rushing Stars and Receiving Stars ink. Also in there will be jumbo patch autos, dual-rookie and triple-rookie autos, Proving Ground autos and rookie booklet patches. ... New inserts will be Pedigree and Blank Slate cards found on the per-case level. ... Ink here will be on-card. ... Boxes carry a suggested retail price of $150.

Update (Oct. 25): There once again will be International blaster boxes of this one arriving around Nov. 23 with six six-card packs per box and 20 boxes per case. There will be 14 base cards, 14 RCs, two parallels and two inserts here with exclusives including Catapults as well as rookie parallels and printing plates (parallels detailed in gallery). Also to be found are two Big Bangs inserts in every international blaster case.
