What's buzz-worthy: Gypsy Queen's approach gets a tweaking for 2022 with an old-timey ticket machine being the aesthetic with some new inclusions that also reinforce the new look

The Basics: Among the new touches here? Die-cut cards and Chrome autographs and birthstone mini insert cards.

The base set will once again be 300 cards -- a mix of rookies and veterans with missing nameplate, Burnt Umber (/399), Indigo (/250), Turquoise (/199), Blue (/150), Mauve (/75), Black & White (/50), Ruby Red (/10) and 1/1 Black parallels. There also will be short-prints that will only have the nameplate, Blue and Black parallels, while the Jackie Robinson Day image variations will only have 1/1 Black parallels. That same 1/1 only approach will apply to other photo variation cards in the release. ... New inserts this year will be Gypsy Gems -- players and their birthstones shown on the cards (like an Allen & Ginter release, not embedded rocks) with those having Indigo (/250) and 1/1 Black parallels. This will be four per box. There also will be Crystal Gazing die-cut cards with the same parallels. These will be two per box. ... Autographs will include standard as well as Indigo (/150), Blue (/99), Black & White (/50) and 1/1 Black, while Mini Rookie Autos (/TBD) also will be in play but only with Black & White and Black parallels. There will also be Gypsy Gems Mini Autos (/TBD) with 1/1 Black cards as well as image variation autos (/TBD) with Black & White parallels (/42) and 1/1 Black versions. Joining them will be Astrological Chrome auto variaitons (/99) with 1/1 Supers to be found. ... Auto Relics will include Autograph Garments (/50), Auto Patch Books (/20), Pull-up Sock Auto Relics (/10) and 1/1 Autographed Lineup Cards. The first three will only have 1/1 Black parallels. ... Three Chrome cards apparently will not be a box-topper this time but will be in packs with Indigo (/150), Blue (/99), Gold (/50), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers as well as autographs (/25) which will also have their own Supers.
