What's buzz-worthy: It's time to turn back the clock a few years with Topps Heritage taking on 1973 for a second time this season with a continuation of what started earlier this year but with new players and features in the mix.

The Basics: The basic set will once again consist of 200 cards (Nos. 500-700) with 25 short-prints atop that. Parallels once again will include Black parallels (announced /50), flip-stock cards (announced /5) and Chromes for 50 cards with Refractors (/673), Silver (/373), Black (/73), Gold (/5), 1/1 Superfractors and Hot Box Refractors just like previous years. There also will be Minis (/100) for 50 players as well as missing signatures, throwback, action, team name and color swaps as well as "additonal surprises." ... Among the inserts will be Rookie Performers, Now & Then, Combo Cards, Award Winners and two new ones -- 1973 MLB All-Star Game Highlights as well as All Aboard, which will focus on Nolan Ryan. Real One Autographs return with on-card ink and Red (/73 max) parallels along with signed cards for the 1973 All-Star set (/99 max) as well as the Ryan inserts (/5). Joining them on the auto-Relic front, there will be Clubhouse Collection Auto Relics (/25) with 1/1 Patch parallels that are hobby-only along with duals (/10 max) with a 1/1 Patch versions (hobby-only). There also will be Ryan Auto Relics (/5). ... For standard Relics, there are Clubhouse Collection cards with Gold (/99) and 1/1 Patch parallels along with dual (/73), triple (/25) and quad (/10) cards all also with 1/1 hobby-only patch versions. Also in there will be Ryan Relics (/25) and cut autos for both baseball stars of 1973 and celebrities from the era.  ... Rounding it all out will be box-toppers -- jumbo cards, 1973 Baseball Pin-ups and original stamped buyback cards from 1973 also in the mix.
