What's buzz-worthy: Details are here for the 2022 flagship release that follows the familiar format of recent years but with some new additions and more that we'll see throughout 2022.

The Basics: The base set for this one will include 330 cards with each having at least 14 parallels -- Gold foil (HTA only), Rainbow foil, Gold (/2,022), Green Foilboard (/499), Orange Foilboard (/299), Red Foilboard (/199), Vintage Stock (/99), Independence Day (/76), Black (/71 Hobby/HTA only), Mother's Day Pink (/50), Father's Day Powder Blue (/50), Memorial Day Camo (/25) and 1/1 Platinum (above) along with printing plates. Clear parallels (/10) will once again only be found in hobby boxes.

There will be several new insert sets in this one, including Generation Now, 2021's Greatest Hits and Diamond Greats Diecuts for starters. They each will have Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 parallels as well as autographs for some players (/10 max). Joining them will be Welcome to The Show, Turnin' Two and Flashiest Fee cards with the same parallels as well as Salute To The Mick -- a "limited and very rare" three-card insert set focusing on Mickey Mantle that will continue in Series 2 and Update. The 35th Anniversary cards continue with a 1987 Topps set showcasing today's players with the same parallels but with the 1/1 being a Wood card. Also in there will be jumbo 1987 box-toppers one per HTA box with autographed versions (/10 max) also possible.

For hits, there will be 1/1 sketch cards in play as well as manufactured Relics for starters. This time around there will ne MLB Logo Medallions and City Flag Patches to be found with autographed (/10 max) versions a part of a parallel rainbow that will include Black (/299 -- City only), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum. There also will be Reverence Patch Autos (/10) with Red (/5) and 1/1 Platinum versions, Major League Material Autographed Relics (/50 max) with Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinums, World Series Champion Auto Relics (same parallels) and Postseason Performance Auto Relics with the same parallels for their players.

For standard autos, there will be Baseball Stars with Black (/99), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum parallels as well as dual autos (/5 max) as well as 1987 autos with Black (/199), Gold (/50 max) and 1/1 Platinums. The World Series and Postseason Performance sets also get autos (/50 max) with Red and Platinum versions. Standard Relics will include Major League Materials, 1987 Topps, World Series and Postseason Performance cards as well as 1/1 In The Name Relics as well as 1/1 cut autos. The MLM and 1987 cards will have Black (/199), Gold (/50 max), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinums while the other two will only have Red and Platinum chase versions.

Silver packs also return inside boxes -- one per hobby, two per jumbo -- with Chromed cards as well as parallels and autographs inside them.
