What's buzz-worthy: Topps teams up with one of baseball's top young stars for a set that offers up some thoughts from the Padres star and his nods to other players in MLB's past and present.

The Basics: Packs are $39.99 direct from Topps or $114.99 for a bundle of three. The base set is just 68 cards from seven subsets – Homeland Inspirations, Bright Futures, The Showdown, Derby Dynamos, Bestias del Juego, Postseason Moments and Calling Cards. Each of those will have six parallels -- Silver (/99), Green (/75), Orange (/22), Blue (/19), Red (/5) and 1/1 Gold cards. ... Soto will have on-card autographs with parallels to the same volume but with the /19 card being only 10 copies. ... Some base cards here will autographed parallels as well with those limited to /50, /22, /10, /5 and 1/1 editions. ... Among the ink here? David Ortiz, Sammy Sosa, Pedro Martinez, Bo Bichette, Julio Rodriguez, Tom Glavine, Randy Johnson, Rickey Henderson, Ichiro Suzuki and Bo Jackson for starters.
