What's buzz-worthy: Project 2020 and Project70 artist Lauren Taylor returns to cardboard with her own collection of cards released over at least two waves beginning today.

The Basics: The packs here include five cards from a 20-card first wave that includes Mike Trout, Fernando Tatis Jr., Bo Bichette, Ronald Acuña Jr., Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr. and Julio Rodriguez for starters. (Full Wave 1 checklist above.) ... Among the chase cards here? Parallels, an artist card (one in 10 packs) and an artist auto card (one in 60 packs). The parallels will be limited to 199, /99, /75, /49, /25, /10, /5 and there also will be a 1/1 parallel. There also will be un-numbered Lava Foil parallels. ... The single-pack boxes carry a $20 initial price from Topps while the higher format is $95 direct from the card-maker. ... Not in the packs but also available each week via Topps will be autographed cards for a few subjects in each wave with some having Artist Proof parallels.

Wave 2 update (July 5): The second wave is upon us (checklist above) with Shohei Ohtani, Jackie Robinson, Wander Franco, Juan Soto, Babe Ruth, Aaron Judge, Ichiro Suzuki and Bobby Witt Jr. among the base cards.
