What's buzz-worthy: National Treasures hits the court with its familiar lineup of inclusions for another season with past and present greats in play as part of a package that also includes some new touches.

The Basics: Rookie patch autos are back, of course, with Logoman auto cards and rookie material super prime autos also part of the mix -- all featuring on-card autos and parallels, which will include Orange (/75) and Red and Black (/3) for starters. Joining them among the hits will be All-NBA, Viewpoint Personalized Treasures and Treasured Talents autos. On the memorabilia side will be Logoman, Colossal Materials and Highly Treasured cards that will showcase tags, logos and more. For auto booklet cards there will be jumbo rookie numbers and brand logos for starters along with new Rookie First Edition books. ... New mem card sets will include Rookie Patches 2009 and Highly Treasured. ... Rounding things out will be Treasured Metals in Silver (/25), Gold and 1/1 Platinum. ... Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $1,350.

Update (Jan. 15): There also will be an International Edition for this one with two autographs, two memorabilia cards and one base or parallel card inside. (Start price from Panini was $1,249.95.) These will be the home to exclusive International (/33 or less) and International Red (/8 or less) parallels. Hits will include Rookie Patch Autographs, All-NBA Signatures, Viewpoint Signatures, Treasured Signatures, Court Pass, Rookie Materials, Rookie Jumbo Materials, Colossal Materials and Timeless Treasures Materials for starters.
