What's buzz-worthy: Topps turns its Bowman University focus toward one of college football's most-legendary programs with a NIL release that puts the stars of the here and now -- the 2023 Alabama Crimson Tide -- into packs just in time for their season-opener.

The Basics: This one will be the home of a first for Bowman U -- game-used Relics for NIL players -- with one hit of some type in each box (eight autographs per case) with the release being sold at the school as well as though hobby channels. ... The base set will consist of 100 cards with stars, combo cards and 2022 highlights, which is how some of those first-round picks from last year should be found here. Each card will have foil parallels -- Rainbow (two per box), Blue (/99), Camo (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Foilfractors. ... Among inserts will be Crimson Catalysts (two per box) and Roll Tide (five per box) with Orange, Black, Red and Foilfractors for each. Autographs will include base parallels with Rainbow (/99), Gold, Orange, Black, Red and Foilfractors at same volumes. Joining them will be dual-auto cards (/10) with only a 1/1 parallel, while Relic autos will be /10 with no parallels. Also in play will be jumbo patch autos (/5) with 1/1 versions. ... Standard Relics will include Gold, Orange, Black, Red and Foilfractors, while jumbo patches (/10) will include just Red and Nike Foilfractors.
