What's buzz-worthy: Historic Autographs' latest wide-in-scope look at history and pop culture is one that will take collectors from the 15th century all the way to modern times with the various icons of the sky and beyond all in play.

The Basics: Subjects will include some of the biggest names in aviation history -- Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Orville Wright, Neil Armstrong, John Glenn, Eddie Rickenbacker, Pappy Boyington, Ted Williams, Paul Tibbetts and a myriad of Medal of Honor recipient aviators -- according to the company and there will be base cards as well as cut autos and memorabilia cards to reflect them and more. ... Among the memorabilia pieces will be some unusual finds. "[They] include charred pieces from the Hindenburg disaster, the appendix from Apollo 9, Kapton foil from Apollo 11," read the company's release, as well as "freeze-dried pudding and the container that held it from Apollo 14, medical gauze flown in Lindbergh's plane and a flag flown in Howard Hughes' plane." There also will be personally worn memorabilia (not space-used) from Neil Armstrong, Wally Schirra, William Shatner and Michael Jordan as well as film cards from flight-related movies. ... Each 96-card box here will include four or five parallel cards and one hit. Among those will be cut autos -- Earhart, Lindbergh, Wright, Armstrong, Alec Guinness, Rickenbacker and Williams among them -- as well as 1/1 sketch cards and printing plates.
