What's buzz-worthy: Metal is back for another go with two box formats and with base cards now in the mix -- and with both formats still having exclusives and encased proofs.

The Basics: Hobby boxes will include one hobby-only auto and an 1/1 autographed proof among the six autos per box, while jumbo boxes will include one jumbo-only auto, one slabbed proof auto and one top-loaded proof auto among their 10 signed cards. ... The parallel color/volume details were not noted in advance for this one, but the player lineup includes past, present and future stars' ink in sets such as Mystix, Fort Knox and new Anime National cards. Bull-penned autos will only be in hobby boxes, while Greenlight ink will only be in jumbo boxes. Other sets will include Lunararity, Silversmiths, Top 100, Noble and Thrillerz for starters. There also will be exclusive finds in each format for base card parallels. ... Among teased players here? Shohei Ohtani, Nolan Schanuel, Mariano Rivera, Elly De La Cruz, Sandy Koufax, Ronald Acuña Jr., Stan Musial, Paul Skenes, Zach Neto, Frank Thomas and Evan Carter.
