What's buzz-worthy: Contenders arrives for NFL fans once again with it familiar approach but a smaller box size that helps showcase ink and inserts in virtually every pack.

The Basics: The typical hobby box of this one will include at least five autos with one of those being on-card ink, while there also will be 10 different inserts and parallels atop the base cards. ... The base set size and parallels were not noted in advance this time. ... They'll be joined by Rookie Ticket autos, ticket stub versions of those cards and Cracked Ice parallel autos for starters. Among sets showcasing veterans will be NFL Ink and Legendary Contenders and ink "from the best to ever do it" from the past, present and rookies. ... Among the inserts here will be Supernatural, Crown Jewels and Superstar Die-Cuts for starters. ... These smaller boxes carry a suggested retail price of $225.
