What's buzz-worthy: Origins' eighth season on the NFL gridiron arrives soon with plenty that collectors have come to expect from the colorful line -- and perhaps more colorful chases than ever.

The Basics: Atop the hits, each box will include two base cards (veterans, rookies 0r rookie variations) and two parallels. (Base set details and parallel breakdowns not listed in advance this time.) ... Among the hits will be rookie patch autos and rookie autos along with dual- and triple-auto rookie sig cards and dual-patch booklet autos for starters. On-card autos will have a heavy presence in this one. Also in play will be Origins of Greatness booklet autos, Rise to the Hall, Hometown Roots, Future Fabrics and Proving Ground autos. ... The "ultra-rare and hobby-only" inserts will include Blank Slate, Origin Story and Primordial cards. ... Boxes once again carry a suggested retail price of $150.

Update (Aug. 23): There will be six-pack international blaster boxes for this one (Oct. 27 arrival) with 20 boxes per case. They will include 36 cards with 14 Rookie Cards, two parallels and five other inserts inside them along with base. They will be the home of rookie variations (above) as well as Holo Red parallels. They will be joined by at least three insert sets only found here as well -- Pedigree, Big Bang, Start Ups and Original Gridiron. Big Bang and Pedigree will "fall roughly two per case." Boxes carry a suggested retail price of just under $40.
