What's buzz-worthy: Prizm arrives for a new year with all-time greats and MLB prospects in play here as part of the formula from the past but without established current MLB veterans.

The Basics: Boxes will include 12 cards per pack (144 per box) with three Silver Prizms, 12 inserts only found in hobby boxes and then eight parallels only found here, too, with a mix of Hype, Pulsar, Ruby Wave or Ice Prizms. ... The base set will include 300 players -- draft picks, prospects, retired stars and Hall of Famers. and there will be six new hobby-only parallels in play -- Green Scope, Black Gold, Orange Wave and Ruby Wave -- atop regular finds such as Silver, Ice, Black-Gold and others. ... Among autos will be Signatures, Franchise Legends and Potential Penmanship all also with their own parallel rainbows. ... Among inserts will be new Manga cards as well as Color Blast, Future Supers, Pot of Gold, Prizmatic, Fireworks and Second to None. ... There also will be one Hot Box per case with Purple Ice parallels only found there. ... Boxes once again will carry a suggested retail price of $135.
