What's buzz-worthy: Select hits the diamond with the familiar tiered approach for standard cards -- this time just prospects and retired MLB stars, though -- and then plenty of what collectors have come to expect elsewhere.

The Basics: There once again will be five cards per pack from a 300-card set here -- Concourse, Premier and Diamond tiers (parallels not noted in advance) -- and beyond the hits there are going to be five inserts and three numbered Prizm cards per box just like past years. ... Among the hits will be Select Swatches Signatures, prospect jersey autos, Select Company Signatures, Prospect Signatures and Select Signatures. ... Among the inserts will be Select Numbers, En Fuego, Unequaled, Prospect Revolution, Unstoppable and Color Wheel, which are described as "ultra rare" in this one. Also rare will be Zebra parallels and Select Names cards. ... Boxes once again carry a suggested retail price of $135 ($11.25 per pack).
