What's buzz-worthy: USA Baseball's baseball cards arrive with "multiple new teams added for the first time" and more hits per box, too, while also working Optichrome into the mix -- as the stock for the main set.

The Basics: A typical hobby box here will have seven hits, three Silver Prizms and then two Bronze-Silver-Gold Prizms. The 10 base set parallels were not detailed in advance for this one, but there will be Silver, Gold Vinyl and Bronze-Silver-Gold cards in the mix. ... The hits lineup is Panini's "largest USA Baseball autograph collection ever with 15 different teams" with "a second 18U National Team, Collegiate National Team Training Camp and eight international teams," according to the company. There will be Silhouettes, World Cup Canada and Training Camp Signature Materials cards for starters along with more advanced stuff like bat knobs, laundry tags and jumbo materials cards with pieces like turf shoes, cleats, batting gloves and jerseys from sis countries. (USA Baseball releases have typically included at least one opposing team on hits thoughout the years.) ... Boxes will once again carry a suggested retail price of $75 ($15 per pack).
