The Basics: The 220-card base set will have basic Refractors along with Prism, X-Fractor, Sepia, Pink, Negative, Magenta (/399), Magenta Speckle (/350), Purple Speckle (/299), Purple Sonar (/275), Purple (/250), Aqua (/199), Aqua Lava (/199), Blue (/150), Blue Sonar (/125), Green (/99), Green Wave (/99), Green Sonar (/99), Blue Wave (/75), Gold (/50), Gold Wave (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Supers as well as plates. ... There also will be short-printed variations with Green Speckle (/99), Gold Speckle (/50), Orange Speckle (/25), Red Speckle (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors their parallels. There also are "super" short-prints that are not paralleled. There are also apparently something called TacoFractors (/5) as well as Frozenfractors (/-5).

Among the inserts will be Youthquake, Radiating Rookies, Topps Chrome Titans, Topps in Technicolor, Ultra Violet All-Stars, Future Stars, 1988 Topps, Let's Go! ("super limited"), Topps Chrome Exposé (/10) and Topps Chrome Titans. Inserts will have Green (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers in most but not all sets -- Exposé and Let's Go! will have only Reds and Supers. There also will be a new crop of Hidden Gems cards also "super limited."

For inked cards, there will be 2022 Topps Chrome MVP autograph buybacks (/22) for Aaron Judge and Paul Goldschmidt as well as 1988 Topps, Future Stars (/99), TechniColor and Ultraviolet ink. Joining them will be duals (/25) with only Reds and Supers while the other insert autos will have Orange, Red, Supers and plates for starters. Chrome autos will have Refractors -- standard (/499), Purple Speckle (/299), Purple (/250), Aqua Wave (/199), Blue (/150), Blue RayWave (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Gold Wave (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates. There also will be Radiating Rookies autos (/23) with Supers. The 1988s will have Orange, Red, Supers and plates. Dual rookie autos (/25) also will be in play with Reds and Supers.

Lastly, there are Topps Chrome Authentics with MLB Authenticated jersey swatches as well as autographed versions. The non-autos also will have Green, Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at the same volumes.

Update: There also will be an MVP buyback program for this release with the known players being cash-in opportunities once the award-winners are revealed in November. They will pay $20 in store credit per base card, $40 for Refractors and then $100 or $200 for rarer cards as noted below at participating card shops. This will be in play for Topps Chrome and its Logofractor companion but no other versions of Chrome to come this year.
