First Buzz: 2023 Topps Chrome Star Wars (updated)

What's buzz-worthy: Star Wars hits Chrome once again with an autograph in every box and plenty of focus on the memorable characters from the franchise.

The Basics: The base set is comprised of 100 character cards with parallels not detailed in advance here. Insert sets will include First Appearances, Monikers and Journey of Grogu -- three 20-card sets -- along with Manga Madness (15 cards) and then 10 Return Of The Jedi 40th anniversary cards. Also in play will be sketch cards, manga sketch cards and then autographs. Autos will be parallels for character cards as well as First Appearances while also to be found will be a set of dual-auto cards and triple-auto cards. No other details were released. Among the signers? Adam Driver, Billy Dee Williams, Carrie Fisher, Carl Weathers, Daisy Ridley, Emilia Clarke, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Harrison Ford, Ian McDiarmid, Kenny Baker, Natalie Portman, Rosario Dawson and Samuel L. Jackson.

Update (May 10): Parallels of the base cards will include Rainbow Refractors as well as Aqua (/199), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers as well as printing plates. ... Another insert not previously mentioned will be Manga Madness! cards in this one. Inserts will have Green, Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at same volumes. Auto parallels will be found in Green, Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at the same volumes. Duals and Triples will only have Reds and Supers.
