What's buzz-worthy: Tribute drops for a new season with the familiar three-and-three format of the past but with new Olympus autos (above) a continuing tribute this time to Shohei Ohtani and more.

The Basics: Ohtani gets the nod for this year's Career Achievement Award Continuity program of past years with 1/1 autos as well as 1/1 dual-auto cards in this release -- one for the hitter, one for the pitcher in this case. ... Rookie Cards once again will be found just two times per case and there will be 90 past and present players in the base set and just 10 cards for the rookies. Parallels will include Green (/99), Gold (/75), Purple (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Black versions for both sets. ... Among the hits will be Tribute autos (/TBD) with a deep volume of parallels for each card -- Blue (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/75), Purple (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/10) and 1/1 Black as well as printing plates. Joining them will be the Olympus autos (/TBD) that will have Orange, Red and Black versions (same volumes) along with Iconic Perspectives autos (/50), League Inauguration autos (/99) and Tribute Tandem book cards (/25). The first two will have Orange, Red and Black versions while the books will only have Red and Black parallels. ... New for this one will be Tribute To Nicknames autos (/TBD) with the same three parallels. ... For Relics there will be Stamp of Approval Relics (/199) with MLB Authentication-approved pieces as well as dual Relics (/199) and triple Relics also limited to that volume. There also will be Milestone Relics (/10) with just a 1/1 parallel. Each of the other sets will have the same Green-Gold-Purple-Orange-Red-Black rainbow of parallels. ... For auto Relics, there will be Earned Stripes (/50) with Red and Black versions as well as Names That Made The Game 1/1 cut autos for players whose names are known for other things in the game such as Pesky's Pole. Also in the mix will be patch autos (/50) with Red and Black versions as well as Prime Patch 1/1s. ... There also will be 1954 Topps framed buybacks as box-toppers in some boxes.
